10 for Tuesday

Well.......................

1. Sydney hasn't been sleeping well at night. Since last Thursday. I think between Wednesday night until yesterday, I'd gotten about 10 hours of sleep total. Deprivation much?? Not sure what's going on with her, if it's just a growth spurt or what, but hopefully she will snap out of it soon! She did pretty well last night, but of course, since she did better, Austin had to wake up. Mama is tired! Her naps have been terrible as usual. 20-30 minutes and she's done... so it's been a little trying lately.

2. Petey is doing fantastic. He's such a smart dog. He's doing great with potty training, very few accidents inside--- thank God for hardwoods instead of carpet! We have carpet upstairs, but he is not allowed upstairs until he is potty trained, and even then, very minimally. He is very motivated by treats, so I have been giving him a treat after every single time he potties outside. I have already taught him to sit and to lay down, and does it now on command. (As long as he sees a treat in hand...haha) My next task will be to Sit and Stay followed by having someone knock and walk through the front door while he stays. I want him to have manners so he won't maul people with kisses while trying to enter the house. Austin is loving him, Sydney is partial. She smiles and laughs at him, but too young to really understand.

3. We'd been having problems with our laptop computer. It's just over a year old, and shouldn't be having such big issues. 2 months after we bought it, we had to have the motherboard replaced. Which, now it needs a new motherboard, and just found out it needs a new hard drive, as well as picked up a virus out there somewhere. So it's toast. Not too happy about that one. I'd definitely say we learned our lesson on buying before researching. We wanted one, and it was impulsive. Naughty Naughty. My friend Tifiney is letting me use their old laptop while we wait for tax returns... so no blog pictures until we get a new one... sorry! I don't want to bog their computer down with a bunch of pictures of kids that aren't theirs! haha! =)

4. The kids are doing well. Austin kind of acts like he's coming down with a cold, but not to sure about that yet. He's as fiery as ever and keeping me on my toes. Sydney is growing so fast, and her hair is really starting to fill out. It won't be long and I will be able to do it all cute =)

5. Austin likes popcorn for breakfast. And I let him have it. Does that make me a bad mom? It isn't every morning, maybe once a week. He usually eats cereal or pancakes... but every now and then asks for popcorn, so I say yes. =)

6. Sydney is doing well on Solid foods. We feed her rice cereal mixed with a bit of water and baby food. She's loving it, and eats it 3 times per day. We were given the go-ahead to start adding baby meats into her mix, so we've been doing that, and she's CHOWING down!

7. She can also sit up on her own now. She loves her toes, and even sucks on them. Weird! She's smiling at everything and laughing a lot. She loves the game peek-a-boo too.

8. Austin won't quit reading. He loves it. He constantly brings us books to read him. His new favorite thing is his VSmile Motion that he got from Gramps and Grammie Hines for Christmas. It's a video game type thing, with a wireless controller. It teaches him letters, numbers, colors, etc. He plays daily, and always wants more. We actually had to stop playing this morning because the batteries on the controller went out! He was NOT happy!

9. Bryant and I are slowly working back in to eating Weight Watchers again. Our schedule has been so crazy lately that we really haven't dedicated ourselves back to it, but can both definitely tell. (aka weight gain...haha) I have found a lot of great Weight Watcher recipes that we love, and I have always been making those for our dinners--- but the snacking and treats is where we mess up big time. So hopefully soon here we'll get back to it, and I can finally shed these pounds that are hanging on from Sydney!

10. Bryant is on nights this week. We both hate this schedule. It throws us for a loop big time, along with the kids. I am not fond of them, because I have the kids 24/7 with no breaks... kinda tough! It would be different if I was working too and could have a break during the day and have them after work and evenings, but that's not the case!

That's all for now! Adios!!

xoxo
