Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for:
    • Egg beaters. Yes, that's right, Egg beaters. I had a delishious lunch, made with egg beaters, which is super low in points, that I wouldn't have been able to have as much of it if I'd used real eggs!
    • Bag Balm. I know it's used for Cows udders in any normal ranch scenario, but it's the PERFECT diaper rash cream. When we had Austin, he ended up with awful, painful diaper rash. Our friends turned us to Bag Balm, and so we've been using it on Sydney when she gets even the least bit red. So far, NO diaper rash. AH-MAZING!
    • Our new couches. We absolutely love them. They are practical, and very very comfortable. Austin has already spilled yogurt on part of one. It wiped right up. (I put the leather protectant on them before bed on the 1st night like advised as well.) But we do love them. They match our other furniture in here, and they are a very modern look.
    • A potty trained boy. It's so wonderful when I'm sitting here feeding Sydney, and Austin has to go potty, he can run back and do it all by himself. Makes life a little easier! Plus, MUCH easier on the wallet. =)
    • Payday. Grocery shopping needs to be done, and the tabs on my Edge are due at the end of the month. We saved half out of the last paycheck, so only need to draw the other half out of this paycheck. Makes it a little easier to swallow when you split it up like that.
    • Hardwood floors. Yeah, they are cold, and my feet are normally freezing, BUT when I dry mop them every day and see all the crap that I get up... I just think about that being embedded into carpet and how bad our allergies would be if we had carpet still.
    • My Camelbak water bottle. I just LOVE it!
    • 100 Calorie snacks. I love that they keep coming out with more and more varieties of these. I saw that they had 100 Calorie packs of Milano cookies at Wal-Mart and will definitely be trying those this payday!
    • Weight Watcher Brownies. Granted, they're kind of spendy, and only come 4 per box.... they are actually REALLY good! They even have mini little chocolate chips in there. And when paired with f/f, s/f vanilla pudding---AH-MAZING again!

Ok, that's it for today! =) Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

10 for Tuesday

I did not forget this week. Hurray!!!

1. Before bed tonight, I have to remember to "condition" our leather couches. The dude didn't say how often I am suppose to do this, but I assume it will tell me on the bottle. But I'm suppose to do it before bed so it's dry by morning time.

2. The living room looks totally bare now. We had three large oversized pieces of furniture in here a mere 7 hours ago. Now we have two fairly sleek pieces. Though, I have to say, I do love them. I moved our table that use to sit by the stairs over into the living room to give it an extra something. Still looks bare though. And now the empty spot by the stairs is lonely too. Guess I'll have to hunt around for some good furniture bargains and see what I can come up with. I'm sure I'll find something one of these days. When we have the moola that is! =)

3. I do believe that Austin is getting sick. The flu, I think. All day today he's been saying he's cold. And on and off that his stomach hurts. He woke up this morning saying his stomach hurt. I didn't think much of it, except that maybe he needs to go potty. He, however, says he doesn't have to go. This evening, starting around 5ish, he started getting very whiney and clingy to me. Wanted me to hold him, to pick him up, that he was cold, that his stomach hurt. I gave him some Childrens Tums, and cuddled him on the couch after I ate dinner. He didn't want any dinner. (He did, however, eat an oreo...) Before I knew it, he was propped up against me fast asleep. So that tells me right there that he's not feeling well. He never sleeps before he has to.

4. Sydney on the other hand, does. As much as she can. Right now to be exact. She's been sleeping an awful lot lately... she must be growing. I hope she sleeps tonight!

5. There's suppose to be a meteor shower tonight. I don't remember seeing one of these for years. Nic and I were still young when the last one I remember seeing was. We layed out in our front yard and watched them all shoot across the sky. It was really exciting for me. Especially because I got to stay up past my bed time. I may try to sneak a peak outside tonight to see if I can see any. Hopefully they are going full on so I can get some pictures. However, it's suppose to be the best between midnight and 5am... so we'll have to see.

6. I am thinking about making/buying new curtains for our living room. The ones we have are okay, they do the job, just not what I was wanting, what I'd pictured. They were however, partially free. One of my friends, Cassie, gave me two of the panels, so I only had to buy two more. I do like them, just wanting something more vibrant, since our living room furniture is so dark. I need something in here to pop. So we'll see what I come up with! I also want to make throw pillows, preferrably out of the same material as the new curtains if that happens......

7. I just made an e-vite for the first time. It's an online invatation. I did it for Austin's birthday party on Saturday. Geesh, what would I do without the internet??

8. It's getting dark out.... maybe I will be able to see the meteor shower soon. Austin is still up... what am I doing? I need to get this done, NOW, so I can get him to bed, and get to bed myself!!!

9. My first week on Weight Watchers, I didn't drink much water. I think that maybe attributed to my only 2 pound weight loss. So this week, on Saturday actually, I went to the BX and got the Camelbak waterbottle that I've been wanting for some time. And I've been drinking water like there's no tomorrow. It's my goal from now on to get my water quota each day, and I've been doing well! So hopefully come Friday, weigh in day, I will be down more than 2 pounds!

10. We gave Thumper away last week. It was so hard. Austin bawled. I felt awful. But I do have to say that I feel a whole lot better, and Austin's allergies are doing 90% better than when we had the cat. I did some cleaning today, and when I moved the table by the stairs, I noticed the vent that was behind it. It was CLOGGED with cat hair. It was unreal! So I pulled out the vacuum attatchment and vacuumed the death out of it. It was incredible how much cat hair was stuck on the front of that vent that didn't get through. I guess I'd better get to the self help store tomorrow and pick up a new air filter and get it put in. My guess is that it will really need it!

That's all for tonight! Time to get my little sicko to bed!!!

Until next time....

Here we are again......

Ok, I pray... I PRAY that this is the last time we will have to exchange our furniture. We both feel really optimistic about this set, so lets just cross our fingers, shall we? Thanks.
Here's some pictures of our new set, and a few others from today and last night!

This is just showing that I moved our table deal onto the wall instead of back by the stairs were it use to live.
New couches. We really love them. So please please God let this be the last of them! haha! The delivery guy walked in today and said "Crappy stuff?" And I said "Sure is." He just laughed, knowingly. When they were taking out the old ones, he read the tag that said "Made in the USA." And when he brought in the new ones he read the tag that said, "Made in China." And he just cracked up. He said, "Well, sadly, these will probably hold up."

Sydney really seems to like them...hehe =)

My babies on the new couch.... do you see Austin's feet? ;)

They let Austin help them put the couch feet on. He thought this was the coolest thing ever!

Holding one of the feet on while they were screwing other ones in.
This guy was so nice to Austin. He showed him how to put the washer and nut around the screw and put it into the legs... then let Austin do it by himself.
As soon as the loveseat was up, he jumped right up and declared that he "looooves it."
This was this morning. Austin wanted to hold his sissy so bad! They look so sweet together!
This was this morning also. Austin was giving her kiss after kiss. It was too cute.
This morning also.... Sydney is really digging her bouncer chair today... and I'm digging that she's digging it... my hands have been virtually free ALL DAY LONG! =)
I made Austin a bed out of the couch cushions this morning while waiting for the new couches to arrive. He thought it was pretty neat =)
Austin on his "bed" with his new birthday jammies.
Last night he wanted to hold sissy too... caught him smiling so big at her. She was smiling huge at him too, I wish I had a way to show both their faces in one picture! Austin needs a mirror hooked to his ear or something =)
Anyhow.... there you have it. SOMEDAY I will get the last album from Twin Lakes loaded =)

He's growing up!

He's three. THREE! Where did the time go? It seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. We had a little birthday for him, but Saturday the 15th is his friends birthday party where I will get to deck the house out in Spiderman and make him his big Cupcake Cake. I can't wait until he sees it!! Here's a picture of my boy on his new bike!

Dear Austin,

I started this tradition with Sissy when she was 2 months old... I wish I would have started it sooner with you, however, better late than never.
You are three today. Three years old. You are getting so big, I can't hardly believe it! I still remember bringing you home from the hospital. You were our first baby. Our pride and joy. Your laugh lights up my life. You have become such a huge part of me that I can't even remember life before you.
You are so smart. You know your colors, and you can count to ten. You also recognize numbers as well, which I am impressed with. You love to know what time it is, and sometimes even get it right all by yourself.
You have the best little personality. A lot of love, and a little sarcasm make you who you are. You say the silliest things that make Daddy and I roll with laughter. You are so sweet with your baby sissy, and it melts my heart over and over again watching you with her. You 'hush' her when she's getting fussy, and you pat her on her tummy. Today when I was feeding her, you were rubbing her feet. Every night before bed, you always make sure you give her kisses. You are the best big brother, Austin.
Your favorite things right now are Thomas the Train, and Spiderman. You are obsessed with both right now, and it's so cute. You know the names of all the trains, and know them by sight. You love to watch ANY train in general. You love being stopped at a train track while we let a train pass by. You are absolutely mesmerized by them. You say you want to be an engineer.
As far as Spiderman goes... you love to "web" people like spiderman does. You go around the house webbing anything and everything. When you web us, you tell us that we can't move. Then you come wipe our webs away. Just the other day I was getting onto you for being on the floor at the pharmacy, and you webbed my mouth shut and told me I couldn't talk. These are the things that make you you, and I love you for them.
You know how to put on your own shoes, although, you don't know how to tie them yet. You love the park, and you learned how to swim this year up at Twin Lakes on vacation. You love walking to the mailbox too. You like to help mommy unload the dishwasher during the day, and have a new found love for throwing clothes in the washing machine. You are such a little helper!
Your vocabulary is larger than life, and you enunciate your words so well. Everyone we come across is so impressed with how smart you are. You must take after your mommy. ;)
Anyways, little man- I am so proud of you. You make me want to be a better person, a better mommy. Watching you and your antics is my favorite thing to do. Your ability to make someone laugh is uncanny, and I hope nothing about you ever changes. You are perfect the way you are. Oh- and you're a momma's boy =)

I love you little man!
