Did you know............?

I just wanted to post a few facts about Germany. There are a few fun ones, and very interesting... if you ask me anyway! =)

Did you know....

: Germany is only slightly smaller than the state of Montana?

:You would have to try one type of Germany bread each and every day for almost a year to be able to taste them all. There are over 300 types of German Bread!

:Dogs are treated like Kings in Germany. They are permitted into restaurants and stores. Even have their own pools.

:Germans are the second largest beer consumers in the world. (Aside from the Irish of course)

:Gummy bears were invented by a German.

:Germany has over 400 zoos. The most in the world.

:Holocaust Denial is a crime in Germany.

: Another crime in Germany, punishable by fine, is "flipping someone the bird."

:You have to bring your own shopping bag when going out to shop. If you don't, they will sometimes have them to purchase.

:Tax in Germany is 19%!!!!!!

: Unlike many think, we drive on the same side of the road where we're headed as we do in the states!

: Our gas will be rationed!

:American cordless phones are illegal in Germany. They interfere with the emergency lines.

:and while we're on that subject...... you dial 211 for emergency services instead of 911.

That's all for today! Hope you enjoyed your history lesson!

56 days and counting.....

Yes, 56 days until Bry will be back for a few days.  12 to be exact.  I can't wait to see the kids' face when they see daddy in person instead of on a computer screen!  It will be priceless.
The only issue we face right now is paying for his plane ticket!  From the time we decided that August would be the month, until last week the price of plane tickets for his time frame have jumped TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS!  Are you kidding me?! That is just insane.  I need to have a "Bring Bryant Home" fundraiser.... teehee! =)

Anyhow, this weekend was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!!  We had a yard sale on Saturday, and we did pretty well!  I got scorched!  It definitely was a little tender!
After the yard sale we ran around and got what we needed for Dad's birthday dinner.  I am not going to tell you how old he is, but if you read the big red letters above, he's 365 days younger than that.  Now, if you can figure that out for yourself it isn't my fault that you know how old he is.

Yesterday was Sunday and Mom filled the kiddie pool up in the morning.  Later that afternoon we took the kids out and they played around in it, and I pulled out the coolest sprinkler ever for them.  Austin LOVED it!

That was the extent of our weekend!  Not much else happening around here!  I have started writing Sydney's 2 year letter, but haven't finished yet.  It will be posted soon I'm sure.  I think I'm just in denial.  If I don't post her letter, then she isn't technically 2, right??
