We're back in action!

So I know it's been awhile, but we've been gone, and once we got back... busy busy!

Bryant came home from Washington the day after Easter... he had to get back to work. I was able to stay for an extra 8 days or something like that.

My time home was good. I got a lot of needed rest, saw a couple friends, had my baby shower, and just really got to relax. In the moment, once again, it seemed like I was running around like crazy.... I really wasn't too bad this time, though. I was going somewhere every day, but I did get to rest a bit as well.

I got home on the 22nd. My mom drove back with me to help us out with Austin after Bryant's surgery. (Which was on Friday the 24th.)

The morning we were to drive back, my mom was lifting a box of books and threw her back out... really badly. So she was miserable the entire drive here, which is an 8 hour drive. She didn't realize how badly she'd hurt it until we got on the road; and she started kicking herself for not bringing any muscle relaxants along for the drive. We finally made it, and she was in quite a bit of pain. She was here until Tuesday, and mending for the few days she was here. After the second day, she felt well enough to help me out with Sydney's room. She did pretty much all of Sydney's laundry for me, blankets, ect. She was a ton of help, even though she didn't think she was. I would still be over my head in baby clothes if she wouldn't have been here!! So THANK YOU MOM!!!

Bryant's surgery, like I said, was the 24th. He had a carpal tunnel surgery. It was a quick surgery, and he came out well. He felt great that day, but the next day, and following days, until Tuesday, he was NOT feeling too hot. He was in quite a bit of pain, and all the itching, and muscle twitching that his wrist was doing was really aggrivating him. We drove back over to Twin Falls today for a wound check. He got his splint and ace bandage off, and finally got to wash his hand and arm. He was pretty thrilled about that, since it was stained with iodine, and getting a little...... umm... stinky. :) His cuts look icky, not infected icky, just icky. He, of course, thinks it's soooo cool. :) Austin wouldn't hold his finger though, because he said it was yucky. I thought that was kind of amusing. We go back to Twin Falls next Friday to get his stitches out. He will be off work until the 18th of May.... so we're happy about that. For now. Until we drive each other nuts. :) HAH!!!

As of now, we are sitting here on the couch waiting for Bryant's dad and Uncle Paul to show up. They will be here around 8 or 8:30, and will be here until Tuesday. We're excited to have them here, however I do wish that Nancy and Connie would have been able to tag along. Being in a house full of boys will be a little much for me I think!! Even the cat is a boy. Geeze!

Tomorrow (Friday) we're going to try to make it to Boise to the Train Depot. Austin will love it... he's so obsessed with trains it's unreal. Bryant got onto Google Videos the other night and typed in Trains. Austin and him sat on the couch for a good hour watching 4-5 minute videos of random trains. He loved every minute of it, and wanted more when it was gone.

Saturday is my baby shower here on base. My friends Sarah and Cassie are throwing it for me, and I'm pretty excited. An excuse for girl time (and girly presents for the princess) is always welcome on my agenda!

Back tracking a little bit, I had my baby appt. for Sydney on Tuesday. Everything looks good. Her heart rate is between 140 and 150, and she's growing like she should be. I ended up in L&D on Sunday with contractions that had been going on for a couple days, but as of now my cervix is closed, and she is staying put. I was told to keep coming back in when my contractions get like that, and basically to quit being stubborn. :) I don't know where I get that from. (Mom, do you??)
I will go back in for another check in 3-4 weeks, which I will be 34 1/2 weeks-36 1/2 weeks along by then. I can't believe how quickly this is flying by. Before you know it, you'll be seeing pictures of Miss Sydney! :)

Well, I've got pizza to eat, and floors to swiffer, so this will be all for now. I will do a seperate post so you all can see pictures of the past 3 weeks!!! Hope this fills you in on anything, and if I remember something I forgot, I will post it with the picture post!
